If you don't want divorce then you have to contest the divorce petition if he files in the court. If you wish to reside at your matrimonial home and currently at your natal home , you should go back soon and if they fon't allow seek police help. Consult an advocate to discuss in detail.

Anyways if relationship is sour then you should not stretch it till it breaks but if your husband files divorce on the basis of cruelty then you have only option to apologize and convince him and his family by all means and ways possible for you
