Can Summons Be Sent through Social Media such as Whatsapp?

My spouse and his family is simply not responding to any of the summons sent to Bhubaneshwar, Orissa where he lives from the Bangalore court. (I stay in Bangalore, Karnataka) Can my lawyer or I send the summons through Whatsapp or Facebook? And can that be submitted to the court once the blue tick appears on whatsapp as the person receiving the court notice?
As there is no provision as such you can email, whatsapp the summons and it is not valid service according to law u can take police along with u to his place and get summons served or elae u can take summons by way of regd post ack due. Do it
