Sold unbilled imported custom phones payment by dealer not received

A man in kolkata who sold Unbilled Imported Custom Phones,contacted me through my olx ad and offered me his imported mobile range. I thought of this as a nice pocket money option and started selling his phones through posting more ads on olx and taking my profit Margin. after few succesful transactions person has gone underground and i have no contact of him and now a prepayment of 22000 of a customer needs to be settled which was paid by PAYUMONEY direclty from his customer's bank to supplier's Kolkata Account. i Didnt recieve a penny of it..since he took it ,am i liable to pay back custmr
