Family threatening for honour killing what should do

In may 2015 I did registered marriage . We both belongs to different cast.i am from general category and my husband is obc. We both are working . I am 26 year and my husband is 30 year old. At present we both are leaving in different state. Now my family are threaten me for honour killing. And they wants to create problem for my in laws. I want yo know how legally I can protect my inlaws and myself from them
1. You should report the matter to police and seek protection.
2. You can file petition before court narrating the facts and can seek protection.
3. If police does not take any action you can file writ in High Court for directions to police to provide protection to you and your in-laws
