Being threatened by friends of ex boyfriend of intimate picture

11-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I have been in a few relationships and was physically active with all. But my last boyfriend has now contacted me and said that he was blackmailed with my intimate pictures and videos by some of his friends and my ex-boyfriend. He said he has paid alot of money in past one year when we were in a relationship to avoid any further problem for my family. But he says they are still blackmailing him. What should i do now? If i contact police then my family would get to know about my past life and intervention of police will make me lose ny government job. What should i do now?

You may contact High Authority Police Officer in this regard. As a special request they will/may hide your name and identity and will not contact your parents. Normally in such cases the involvement of Police becomes necessary and the person who is threatening you will not repeat the same and your problem may resolve. On the other hand, if your a Complanant in a complaint case, it will not effect your job.

You can always seek help from the mahila thana and request for anonymity....as far as involvement of parents is concerned, they are not at all material to this case, hence there is no need for the police officials to involve them.
I don't see how lodging of an FIR will hamper your government job, you have been a victim, hence that option is also ruled out.
My suggestion is based on the information shared by you, for a proper and better understanding or a better advice, I will need to look at the papers or other relevant material or speak to you.
Also, don't take this lightly, as blackmails have a tendency to target the weak and vulnerable, and if they know you are in a government job, then that means you have a regular source of income, and they will keep asking for more.
You can also ask your friend who has been blackmailed to lidge the FIR

Hello,

As such any police complaint will not make you lose your government job and the only thing you can do is you can contact the police against the persons who are harassing you.

Thanks and regards
