Hi, you have not mentioned by which mode you deposited and whether there is any written agreement. Accordingly, your remedy will depend. You may ask for specific performance of work committed by that person. First of all you need to send a legal notice.

You have to file a suit for recovery in New Delhi seeking recovery of money, damages and cost of litigation. You may file it at delhi, where the defendant resides or where the cause of action arose for the purpose of goods purchase.

Send a legal notice through a lawyer asking for the money you have given or goods in lieu of that along with the loss suffered by you. In the notice give them a time to to pay you or supply the goods to you and if they fail to do so file the case within your local jurisdiction.

Sir/Madam,
The case looks like a civil contract for sale of goods. However if there is an intention to device right from inception of your contract their is a criminality involved . Thus you have options of filing Civil cases for recovery and criminal case of cheating. Additional input is required which can demonstrate the written agreement if any . It can be letters or even a formal purchase order. Ultimately you have the legal remedy available.

First of all you need to get a legal notice drafted from a good lawyer and send it to their registered address and addresses know. The said legal notice will be a warning to them to return the invested money or else appropriate civil and criminal action will be taken against you.
