MNET a Broadband company in Guwahati promises its customers to pay them Rs 500 for each referral to a new user. But after the referral is made and connection is established they are telling me that they only pay to the users who had taken a "connection with rental more than Rs 1000". I searched the whole website where the details about the offer was written but was unable to find the terms and condition specifying that the minimum rental of the referred user should be more than Rs 1000. So is this a valid complaint to a consumer court and eligible for compensation ?
Hi, in legal proceeding there is no value of verbal words till you have evidence for that. Yes if you have any written proof regarding the incentive for reference, you may drag the company into legal proceeding in civil court too.

Yes you can file Consumer case becoz there is some sort of deficiency in service by the broadband company by making false assurance. But you have to produce proper document/records/proof to substantiate your claim before the Consumer Forum.
