How can I file for child custody

dear sir i am avinash and i want child custody now.wife told he agree with transfer custody.divorce done before 2 year.then tell mi the process and how many time court take.and can i take child before court order?
The time limit is not define any where in law. Without court order u can't get the custody of your child. Why are you silent for past two years? Have u consulted any other for getting the custody of child.
