Dear client 15 days has to be calculated from notice received date. Contact party and tell him that u want to pay amount. While returning amount take back yr cheque. And also take in writing from his that he received amount and there no due amount pending with u. For any legal help call me

You can pay back by demand draft and 15 days starts from when u recieved to notice by post. The cheque you will have to take it back from the complainant or else call up bank and cancel it once you have paid the amount.

Dear sir,
15 days would be calculated from date of receipt of the notice. If you are willing to pay exchange DD against original cheque and also obtain in writing that payment is being made against full and final settlement and no further claim would be made in respect this of cheque.
