Cheque given - requesting further time extension

i have given a cheque sum of 1 lakh rupees to a person which dated 30.08.16 i.e tomorrow. due to some unavoidable circumstances i couldn't arrange the money on the said date, so i requested him to hold the cheque till maximum this month end and also i am ready to pay the interest for the month, but he refused and threatening me that he will file a complaint against me and deposit the cheque as well. i have intention of cheating him by not paying. due to a uncertainty i had requested him for a time extension that too till this month end.kindly help me out to deal with this.

Hello Sir,

You have no time to send him a notice but still you need not worry let him deposit and let it get bounced. He will send you the notice within 15 days from the bouncing of the cheque. You can send reply to that notice that you are ready to settle. Otherwise if he files a case then you can settle through court. You will get more time to arrange the money. so, need not worry. be happy.
