Procedure for Registration of Charitable organisation

11-Jun-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
I have few doubts regarding Charitable trust registration. 1. Can a company or an individual start a charitable trust 2. If a company can start the trust then, can the directors of the company become the trustees of the trust 3. Can the company sell its products at wholesale price to the trust. 4. Can the trust have its registered office same as the company's registered office.

It is possible for a Company to be a party to a charitable Trust but there have to be other parties as well. The purpose of creation of the trust has to be forthcoming. The Directors do not automatically become Trustees but as per the Trust Deed, they can be made trustees. Regarding sale of goods, if the Company is a trustee, it is unlikely that a Trustee can do business with a Trust due to the obvious reason of conflict of interest. The address can be the same as the Company's registered office. Please be clear on the 'purpose' and 'object' of creation of trust.

I don't know whether you are asking question knowing well the answer

This requires a personal hearing and consultation
However you may read my books on
