NBFC Problem Even After Receiving NOC

Even after receiving NOC, the NBFC is not closing the loan account and repeatedly sending reminders to pay "dues". It has been 3-weeks now. Have spoken with their customer care repeatedly where they accept on call that that loan account has been closed; yet they are not updating it on their application, from which I am getting payment reminders via SMS and WhatsApp. Note: This is the ONLY loan account relationship with the NBFC.

I would advice you to send the NBFC a legal notice, therein you can demand the closure of your loan account, as you have received the NOC, you should annex the same with the legal notice. Even if the NBFC doesn’t close the loan account, then you may approach the court. You can even claim compensation from NBFC for harassment.

NOC is the legal document issued by the bank. NOC is the proof, that you have no more dues against loan. In such case, the bank has no right to call or message for payment of dues.

you may take legal action against NBFC.

a notice will have to be sent to nbfc about the payment of the loan . it has to be conveyed that pending liability with respect to any existing account being maintained with NBFC. reference to all the necessary documents will have to be provided .
