Money recovering case

I have lent money to a person for his business through cheque and he gave me his cheques in return but since 2 years that person is not making any payments. The cheques are with me, how can I recover my money.
The limitations bfor cheque was expired there is remedy only in a civil case though kindly as soon as possible approach to a court of law otherwise it can't be recovered any other laws. Pls do need full

You need to present the cheque in your account if got honoured your problem will be solved andIit got bounced you can take proper legal action against him. For that you need to give him legal notice and still he will not pay you you can file criminal complaint u/s 138 of NI Act against him.

you can put the cheque in bank for the amount mentioned and then get it bounced three times after which a legal notice to be sent to the defaulter and your money would be recovered by filing a case u/s 138 of negotiable instruments act

you can deposit the said cheque for clearance and if the said cheque not cleared by his banker you can file a criminal complainant against him under N.I. Act or you can file a recovery suit against him

after talking to that person, present the cheques in bank, it may be dishonoured, file case under 138 NI Act, and under Order 37 CPC, Criminal as well as Civil proceedings for recovery. But remember to proceed only after giving legal notice.
