Are you still rendering services? I am asking this because you would not like to ruin business relationship if you continues to render it...
You must have entered into an services Agreement with them, therefore, the terms are to be looked at. In all probability, you would have to invoke arbitration in order to recover money

It would be advisable to contact a lawyer with all relevant documents who would send legal notice of demand to opposite party. Even if thereafter, opposite party fails to make payment to you, you can file a suit for recovery of money. Further, it would be better to discuss all documentary proofs available with you to your lawyer so that he may advice properly.

Has your client acknowledged your liability through either of the ways - stamped invoices, ledger confirmation or issuance of CST / VAT / TDS forms or cerificates or lastly through email communication etc. If yes, then you should send a formal demand notice under various applicable laws including specific references to insolvency and bankruptcy code (if client is a company or LLP) and / or under MSMED Act 2006 (if you are an MSME unit).
