Gave money to friend in need now not returning it
06-Nov-2023 (In Recovery Law)
Not sure my issue comes under which law. I gave money to my friend who was in need of money to save his business. He was a close friend so didn't asked any post dated cheque or any documents. It was an online transfer. The only proof I have is our conversation on WhatsApp) since phone calls were not recorded. Now he is not returning giving thousands of reasons. Can something be done legally to get my money back?
Hi
In this case you can proceed to the civil court for recovery of your debt
You can send notice to your friends about your claim. You can demand your amount through demand notice.
If he still refuses then you can move to civil court

Since it's a money given as loan you can approach the police station and file an FIR for recovery of money you can file a case of cheating 420 against the accused and thereafter if the police is not registering then we can go to magistrate to ask to pass the order for registering of complaint. All this can be done at later stage you can first send a notice through the lawyer

Yes. Cirtenly you can recover your handloan given to your friend to save his buisness. The online transfer is a material eveidence against him. Also whatsapp communication is material proof of loan. You can file complaint to police and on basis of it file recovery case agaisnst him.
Send your friend a Legal Demand Notice and claim your money back with interest. If he doesnt comply with the notice contents then file a Civil Summary Suit against your friend and attach your bank statement and whatsapp conversation as proof of evidence.
