Estate agent did fraud activities

1.Agent in Mumbai did foulplay with a tenent- 3 months rent unpaid . 2.Agent illegally kept extra person on rent without my knowledge for 5 months. 3.Agent kept 3 people on rent and asked them not to inform us. Want to know if this is a police case. Want steps to do money recovery.

Criminal charges such as cheating (Section 420 IPC), criminal breach of trust (Section 406 IPC), and trespass (Section 448 IPC) may apply against the agent and tenants. Simultaneously, you can initiate a civil suit for money recovery, damages.

Well, in order to recover money from the agent and illegal tenants which he has kept, you can file a Civil Case under the Maharashtra Rent Control Act + you can file a Criminal Case against the Agent for keeping the tenants illegally without your permission under the concerned provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Well, you can lodge a Police Complaint against the Agent and get that Complaint converted into a FIR under the concerned provisions of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, you can file Sections like Cheating, Criminal Breach of Trust, etc
