Cancellation deed signed but not complied

15-Jan-2023 (In Recovery Law)
A cancellation deed was signed with an construction company for the refund of my money as they were not able to complete the construction due to their internal issues. They provided us post dated cheques and then two days prior to the withdrawal date mailed us stating not to deposit cheque as they are low on balance. And now all the cheques seems to invalid as they have crossed all the dates as per bank law. And still not re payed single penny. Please advice what should be done in this case to get my money back along with interest?

What is this cancellation deed that was signed with the builder.
You should immediately issue a notice to the opposite party requesting for your refund and also file a suit for the same. Once the same is done then the opposite party will be issued summons and the matter will proceed.

Dear sir
if your date is expired in for cheque then not to worry you have 3 option 1st you have to file summary suit for recovery of money if builder is pvt limited company then you have option to file a before NCLT and 3rd to file a consumer case in consumer forum , if project is registered under RERA then you may have also option to file a case in Rera
