You have a clear civil remedy, but recovery will depend on proof of the debt. If the amount of ₹4.5 lakhs was given as a loan, you must first establish the transaction through evidence such as bank transfers, written acknowledgments, messages, or witnesses. Mere oral claims are difficult to enforce. You should immediately: 1. Issue a formal legal notice demanding repayment within a stipulated time, 2. Preserve all available evidence of payment and communication, and 3. If she fails to comply, file a civil suit for recovery of money with interest. If there is evidence of dishonest intention from the beginning (for example, taking money without intent to repay), you may also explore criminal action for cheating. Her location in Bangalore does not prevent legal action—you can initiate proceedings where cause of action arose or where she resides. Do not engage in personal confrontation. Proceed strictly through legal channels to secure recovery.
