Document paper for printing Release Deed: Rs. 50 (Approx 10 paper, Each Rs, 5)

Printing cost Rs. 20

Agent fee in sub-registrar office for assisting registration: Rs. 3000 (approx)

The total cost for release deed registration is Rs. 9,650 including stamp duty + Registration fee + paper & printing + agent.

As per Article 45 of the the Karnataka Stamp Act, 1957 stamp duty of Rs. 1,000 is required to be paid for the purposes of a release deed between family members. Further, the explanation to the referred provision states, that the wife/children of a predeceased brother also fall within the definition of family for the purposes of Article 45.
