The precise query is : Which provision of the Stamp Duty Act ( I have been told that it is so in states AP and Telangana ) exempts properties bequeathed by Will from levy of stamp duty?
schedule 2 general exemption 19 exempts properties bequeathed by will. One need not to pay any stamp duty if the property is acquired through will. but in case dispute arises about the will and matter has to be probed then stamp duty has to be paid
