Right of daughter on ancestral property

please give legal advice on the ancestral property of mine. My grandfather earned three acres land, my father was the only son to him. we are three brothers and two sisters. My father expired in 1998, my mother expired in 2018. we are not ready to give share to our sisters.is there any right for our sisters on the ancestral property .please give legal advise on this isseue.

After the 2005 amendment to Hindu Succession Act even daughters inherit the property in equal share as a son but that is applicable only when the father died after the amendment was passed. As your father died in 1998, your sisters will not be successors to your father's property. But they will get a share in mother's property.
