Property jointly registered but dispute raised on contribution amount

we have a house built on huda's plot jointly registered in the name of my wife and his mother. both party made equal contribution for plot and construction of house . Now the dispute is that one party made less payment and there is no record of expenditure. how to reach any solution?
The property was registered in the name of both the parties so both of them become the joint owner of the property and both have equal right and title in the property.
If there was any difference in the expenditure then the share of each should have been specifically mentioned in the sale deed itself.
