Parents gave me money to purchase home can brother claim share in that

10-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
My parents had given me money by selling their property to purchase a home with their own will. I have sold the same and now my brother expects me to give him money from the profits claimed to be made by me. He tortures me ie constant messages and has been spreading ill words within my family as well. Financial crunch and poor management of funds led to our downfall which he fails to understands. Now I want to know what actions can I take legally to ensure I have him stop this once and for all. I'm a Hindu girl married and staying with my husband.

Taking into consideration the above facts.
In order to give a the advice. We need to know if the property sold was ancestral/ self earned by your parents ?

As the law relating to move both kind of properties are different.

Your brother can't force you for the same. You can file suit for declaration and partition of you share in your family property. as per provision of hindu law. sons and daughters have equal share of ancestral property. but this property is self acquired property of ur father, no issue in case ur father helping u. there is no matter of ur brother to interfere for any transaction with u and ur father. u tell ur father to deposite amount in ur bank account. subject matter is that
1.
whether such property is ancestral or not
2.
ur marriage was solemnised in which year
