Illegal alterations of flat by my neighbour.

What are the legal options to punish the neighbour and restore the flat.
You can file a Case before the Registrar of Properties or in Co-operative Court or approach concerned Municipal Corporation or Council to demolish Illegal Alterations made by your friendly Neighbor harming your Flat or you.

Write a letter to MCGM and tell them to issue a 354 notice as the changes are without permission. In case of failure by MCGM to take action, file a Writ Petition in High Court. Most likely, MCGM will take action and issue speaking orders or a notice u/s 488 of MRTP to restore the flat in its earlier condition as per sanctioned plan.

Unless the alterations in your neighbouring flat are not harming you you cannot and you should not make any official compliant however it is for the society to look into that the said has made any structural changes to the society and it causes some hindrances to the society then they can take some legal action against such an erring member
