How to proceed legally in ancestral property dispute

20-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)
We inherited an ancestral land and the document is in our father's name. The document is one of the three documents that were created during the land distribution long ago. so each family has their own separate document for their lands. The other 2 families had sold their land and now they don't have any land. Now when we are trying to sell our property the other two families are claiming that they got a less share and that we have to give them some land. we asked them to bring their documents so that the matter can be solved, but they are not bringing the documents saying that they don't have and are ready for fighting. we are a peaceful family and don't want any fighting. Can someone please give me some suggestions as to how we can solve this problem or how i can legally proceed.

If partition of an ancestral land has been affected than it will amount to be separate property for each of family, meaning thereby other families cannot lay claim. In partition, property has to be equally divided among all parties who are entitled to share, at the time of such partition. Re-opening of partition will require documents on which shares alloted to each family can be shown. If partition was not genuine than it can be validly contested.
