Grandfather property taxes were paid by father but uncle sold

07-Jul-2023 (In Property Law)
My father paid taxes for a property for a lot of years which my grandfather gave to my uncle. My uncle did not have money to pay the taxes at that time but then three years back my uncle sold the property and made 8 lacs out of it. He gave my father only 40k. He is saying that the rest of the money got spent. Can anything be done in this case? We belong to a Hindu family.

Well if the property was self acquired by your grandfather and it was given to your uncle as a gift deed. Then your uncle is owner. But if the property is ancestral then your father has equal shares. Rest of the things can be advised after studying the case.
