GPA registered property in Bangalore sale deed not in my name

Sir, I have a GPA registered property in Bangalore purchased in 2001. Sale deed I couldn't get it registered as at time government had stopped registering for some time. Now the person in whose name the sale deed is done he passed away. What's the procedure to get sale deed into my name as I am planning to sell this property shortly. Please guide me Sir.

it appears that the general power of attorney is a registered one . you have to obtain a encumbrance certificate to check if the the GPA entry is shown there. the proper procedure is to file for specific performance against the legal representatives of the seller.

The GPA holder by whom sale deed should have to be done if he has died and you have to register a sale deed. The procedure to get sale deed in your name for the property assigned by GPA can be done by the Legal Representative of the person dies before executing sale deed in your name.

Hear it loudly In its 2011 judgment, India's highest court made it clear that GPAs cannot be used to transfer the legal ownership of real estate. The Court also determined that a Power of Attorney is merely an agency created in the name of the grantor on behalf of a grantee.
