Do we need to submit evidence in original in court ?

25-Sep-2023 (In Property Law)
My father (plaintiff) has filed as case against his bother (defendant) regarding property dispute. Plaintiff had requested honorable court to bar him from entering premises, creating third party interest and against creating interest in the property. During the argument stage our prayer was dismissed since defendant also had papers (conveyance deed ) of the property. Since both plaintiff and defendant had the documents the case is now at a stage where we need to file evidence The question is: Do we need to file evidence in court in original? Do we need to submit our conveyance deed in original in court as evidence? Do we have a precedence where we can submit the document as court verified? How safe are original documents in possession of court?

Sir,

You can submit copy of the original document with your affidavit. You have to carry your original to verify the copies and once the document get exhibited by the Hon'ble Court you are no longer required to carry original unless the Court demand to see it again.

If possible then u can submit it other wise you can also submit the Notarised true copy of the evidence. Yes you can have a precedence for submitting it. Do not take any doubt about safety of document in court possession.
