Can married daughters ask for share in ancestral property

Dear sir I am an Hindu with one elder brother and two sisters.father died in 1992.father purchased 10 acres of land in sisters name so that they can enjoy it after marriage.they were married in 1993 and 1995.the ancestral property was divided among we two brothers equally in revenue records without any partition.father has not written any will. Now my sisters are asking share in ancestral property after 22 years what is the legal posisition

The Married daughter have equal right in the parental property after the advent of amendment in Hindu Succession Act 1956, that came into force since 9th sept 2005. The Hindu Succession Act, 1956, originally didn't give daughters equal rights to ancestral property
