I am a sunni muslim man married on October 1995 and have one daughter aged 26 years old and working. My wife left my house two months before and start to live with her working daughter and from there she send me a Khulanama notice by a lawyer that she doesn't wants to live with me and as such she is taking divorce by mean of khula. The letter was signed by her with two witnesses. nIs divorce happened and if so, this is legal? nIf not legal, how to make it legal.

Such type of divorce is not legal at all. In Khula the consent of husband is necessary with some consideration. You need to hire expert advocate to send her counter reply to such traps !
Kindly be in touch to understand the legalities
Thanks

Assalamu Alaikum
Though she may have the right to send you Khulanama but that cannot attain finality without you giving the consent for it.
Let’s assume that you want the Khula to happen and as such you want to give it a legal shape, you may have to approach the concerned district court where you reside and seek declaration of divorce on the basis of Khulanama which was sent to you by your wife and the same was duly consented by you. So for this process, you may require a lawyer.

Should you need any assistance, pleas Edsel free to let me know.
