Whether agreement on E-stamp paper legal for lease?

I rented a house on a provisional agreement made on plain paper with effect from 1/12/2015. Now tenant asking for an agreement on a stamp paper. Now I wish to issue agreement on an E-stamp paper of today's effective from 1/12/2015. Is it legally acceptable or not, please clarify

yes it can be done,but either you or tenent will have to pay the stamp duty.
In my opinion if the rent deed is executed for 11months then it need not be registered.
I advise you to go for 11 months, renewable every 11 months.
