What to do if other tenants are harassing me

what is my neighbors ( other tenants ), like 2 families are trying to bully me ? they are asking me to clean the corridor 15 days a month and even if i am doing it for every alternate day, they insult me in front of my guest (neighbors are a generation older than me so i can't even speak freely, even though i am allergic to dust)? There was a suggestion about keeping a maid but they say they can not afford the maid ... I can't handle any more of their foul mouth ... landlord said they will talk to them ... still they got me today ... i can't think of any other thoughts , i can't even study , i can't enjoy a movie... i am terrified ... WHAT IS THE SOLUTION ?
Your landlord/property manager really needs to be more involved in this., but you can't not live your life because of this. I think what I would do is have the landlord set up a time when both of you are home and see just how much of the cleanliness is required . The landlord or manager could stand in the apartment downstairs while you walk across the floor or do whatever it is that annoys this person. If the landlord finds that there is a lot of issues getting through, he needs to do something about it.
