Police sealed property , complicated situation.

30-Apr-2026 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
My close relative allows me to live in a flat after the previous tenants left , without paying the owed amount, the previous tenant ran a spa which is suspected by police to have run undercover illicit business . Few months after they left I approached the said relative and gained permission to live in the flat for indefinite time , a month ago police showed up asking whether the property was sealed , I denied after which they left . After a month they returned and sealed the premise .

If you had no involvement in the alleged illegal activities and were residing there with the owner’s permission, you may seek copies of the sealing order and approach the appropriate court for de-sealing/relief.

You may be an occupant at sufferance. The sealing suggests prior illegal activity; consult me to avoid trespass or abetment charges as per the concerned provisions of law. Hope, you will get the due clarity
