Is it legal to not allow bachelors to get a flat on rent legally
29-Aug-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Hello Sir, I want to if it is legal for an apartment owners association to not allow the bachelors on rent? Recently I received a MOM from our General Secretary saying in a General body meeting they passed a resolution for not allowing bachelors on rent in society in name of safety. I have tenant 3 bachelors living in on apartment on rent. Is it legal to have that one sided decision. I was not invited in that meeting as a owner. What legal action can be taken.
Hi, if you are grieved with the decision of association you may approach to the office of Registrar - Co-operative Societies to complaint against the association. I don't think, if there is any decision by association, that would also be applicable on the tenant already residing before any resolution.
