Not able to serve notice period

Hi i have recently leave the company without serving notice period and now the company is demanding for the 1 month salary pay as it is a part of contract, however i have leave the company because i have some health issue thats why i am unable to serve the notice period, Please advise if company can take the legal action against me if ignore the emails
YES, the company can take legal action if they are not happy with the way you are leaving , especially when it is clearly mentioned in the contract.
You have signed the employment agreement before joining so you have agreed to all the norms , which includes serving the notice period.
To not complicate things just let them know about your health issues and present medical evidence for the same .
Ignoring emails can affect real badly in your case . If doing that intentionally will not look good.
The company can go for civil cases for breach of contract .

2) arrange medical certificate or evidence and show them
3) Communication is the key
If you will make them understand, they will understand but if they want to go for a case, they can .
If the company wants it can definitely move a case against you. But generally the companies abstain from doing they mostly harass by sending mail to pay the amount.
You must send a detailed mail explaining you condition, you can also send it thought registered post and keep the postal receipt safe for any future legal action
