Whether all the petitioners have a common counsel?
If you have filed a writ petition before the hon’ble high court and the notices have been issued and you do not wish to continue the same then you will have to file an application for withdrawal of the petition in your petition stating the reasons for withdrawal.
On the next date of hearing you shall make a statement before the court that you do not want to continue with the matter and want to withdraw with liberty to file petition again if need arises in future.
If the other petitioner wants to continue with the petition he may do so.
Since the petitioner is dominus litus in a case, you cannot be stopped from withdrawing your case.
