Wife death in hospital after child birth. In-laws are demanding money

My wife passed away after baby boy birth in hospital. Now in-laws are blaming us for carelessness in treatment but we tried our best. Now in-laws are saying to deposite 20lac in name of child and that fixed deposit will be signed by me(father) and mama of child. Death is possible due to carelessness of hospital. What type of legal action I can take to protect myself? What legal action my in-laws can take?
As per your statement ;your wife had died in Hospital and that during child birth ,there are number of medical reason for such kind of death .Your in-laws could not force you to deposit money by blaming you for the death .The child so born is your responsibility ;being father you had got legal right over the child .You need not to worry,legally they could not take away the child from you .
