Widowed Sister in law ill treating blackmailing my father for property
04-Dec-2023 (In Family Law)
Dear Sirs, Myself a hindu family son, livng with my father , we live separately. Father is living with my brother's wife (widowed) in ground floor along with her 2 male children. Myself living with my family with one son and one daughter in 1st floor. My Father was adopted at a young age and has got the property from my grandmother (deceased) through gift deed.
Now my brother's wife is ill treating and blackmailing my father to part with property . She has also physically assaulted me and my wife with her family members, when we questioned this treatment . We have CCTV installed in the house premises and Myself having video and audio proof of the same. Also she is falsely defaming my name with relatives.
We have approached local police station with this, but there is no action. My father is afraid of my sister in law and is refusing to give complaint against her.
What is the next course of action, should i approach any human rights court etc? Please advice.
Firstly are you planning to get a share in the property, if so the course of action is different. However there will be little help from human rights in the matter concerning your father's ill treatment by your sister in law. Kindly feel free to contact me for legal assistance in this regard.

Dear sir
First approach a civil court and take injunction order both against your father and your sister in law not to get executed any deed in her favour forcebly . secondly if police are not cooperating you may file private complaint against her . thirdly you may approach Assistant Commissioner office under senior citizen act and get release your father from the clutches from your sister in law.
