What to do my girlfriend harasses me
01-Jul-2023 (In Family Law)
Me and my girlfriend were in a consensual physical relationship from last one and half year. Initially everything was good but after six months I have realised that girl was very agressive on many small things and she even tried to beat me and threatened me of putting charges and cases against me. Now I don't want to marry her as she always miss behave with me and even with my family. Also she is very very insistent and demanding. Because of her this attitude she has to face an abortion too. Please advise how can I come out of this situation. Whenever I use to convince her about not getting married she use to threaten me of police case and all. I have never forced her for anything not even asked for physical relation. Initially I was ready for marriage because we were in love. Now my parents are also not ready and she even have told me that she don't want to even talk to my parents and don't want to go my native parents place. She use to abuse me a lot too.
Lodge a N.C in the local police station against her under section 506 of I.P.C. Make yourself and your parents complainant in the said N.C. Just in case if she files any false case against you then you can apply for bail and defend yourself. For more detailed advice and further clarification kindly book a consultancy call.
After reading your post, it is not clear as if what is your question. However on reading of the same, it appears that you are in apprehension that your friend may lodge some police complaint against you about sexual abuse. It is true, that if she approach to the local police station, they may register the complaint, however if she is major and capable enough to give consent, then such relation doesn't fall in the cartography of sexual abuse, however it may fall in the definition of cheating, subject to the nature of allegation. However, you are advised to contact some lawyer, before breaking relationship with her, as well as have social counselling.
