Anyway marriage registering authority issue notice giving one month time .ensure that both parties receive notice .after one month ,if they file FIR nothing will happen .one becomes witness when he knows the person for whom he / she is becoming witness . Aadhar will solve the issue .

No case has been made out, If mature aged bride marry to legal age bridegroom, caste is does matter. They will go to police station and submit a copy of marriage certificate. And Talk to parents and convince them.

Dear sir,

For registration of marriage under special marriage act,no bar in caste. The bride above 18 years and groom above 21 years are eligible of marriage,Consent of the family is not required for marriage as because both bride and groom are major. The witness is required for registration.Witness may be any one and his place of living may be any where but the witness must have known the bride or groom.if both bride and groom are major, then no case or registration of fir initiate against the legal marriage.

It is not necessary that witnesses under special marriage act shall have same nativity to that of bride or bride groom. But he must have acquaintances to the bride/bride groom and shall be competent to be a witness IE shall not be idiot, lunatic a proclaimed offender etc. Since the couple are major their parents can't raise objection and if they files any FIR the couple shall appear before police and prove their marriage as well as age and if they apprehend any danger they can file FIR against such persons whoever they may be.
