What legal remedy can a son get when have abusive old father

I'm the only son and caregiver of my abusive old father but I am unable to care for him physically anymore. My father is financially independent and living on pension. After my mother expired he manipulated me to takecare of everything and sacrifice my career and whole life. I'm financially not independent yet and staying with my father in his home. I want to know what are the Indian laws in such a situation if he is abusive to me and his siblings won't take his responsibility? I want to move to another city and leave home but he doesnot want to shift to a nursing home either. What shall I do?
You please talk to your father that it will be easier for you to look after him if he is transferred to any nursing home. Aside you please shift your career to somewhere else so that you come to home once in a year. Legally you cannot stop your father to take maintenance from you or take hospitality from you but only you can override his abuses by your cleverness.

How abusive is he. If he is abusive. Lodge a police cplaint at the time of abusr. Lot of things need to be taken cate off over brief discussion or discussions to guide and inform the pros and cons properly.
