Dear Client, In this circumstance, it is advisable to proceed with the registration of your marriage before the Marriage Registrar. For further clarity, you may book a consultation and I will provide you with a detailed explanation.

The marriage will be illegal as per Hindu marriage act. but still if u want to get married than u have to either convince your family or You have to leave the idea of marriage. If both of you are majors, meaning you are above 18 and the boy is above 21, then you both can get married. Legally, you will be considered husband and wife. There is no provision in the law that prohibits marriage between third cousins. Your age is what matters. If both of you are majors, you can legally marry.
