It is very unfortunate that the love cum arranged marriage is also on rocks. In your case no doubt there was an harassment for dowry and your salary was being taken from you by your husband and in-laws clearly shows that they are more keen on your money than you which of course is a sad thing. However if you wish to continue with the marriage despite your husbands refusal you filed a dvc case, obtain a protection order and right to reside in joint house and you can move in to the house. Further if you move in the situation would not be easy initially if you deal patently you would have some chances of saving the marriage. 498-a is not way to save a marriage but can be used only two build pressure on them.

hi according to your query you did not mentioned what is the case status of your 498a case as on today so please clarify about the case, and it may lead or may not lead to divorce as you are earning, and you can continue you marital relationship in future but please clarify me weather now you are living with your in laws or some where else. and please contact us.

Hi,
It has become a general tendency for the husbands to ill treat the woman and women in order to protect themselves file 498a, 323 and 506 cases in police station.
So in order to save the marriage, courts and police are mandated by supreme court to take reconciliation steps and mediate the disputes between the spouses.
We are also witnessing about 70-80 % of spouses reconciling their differences due to court / police intervention.
As per law, you are entitled to continue to live in your matrimonial home and also endeavor to reconcile differences, renew the love and affection to each other. However both of you will need to put in substantial efforts to reconcile and cohabit together and our advise is that both of you use mediation/reconciliation efforts to the best of your abilities.

Madam,

You need to first see if your husband is ready to take you back to the matrimonial fold and if he is ready, then withdraw the criminal proceedings from the high court by filing joint compromise petition along with compromise terms and conditions. Yes. The continuation of the criminal proceeding will lead to divorce and as you see that your in-laws have lot of influence, better held talks with them and settle the issues.
