Verbal Abuse and mental torture by In Law

From the start itself, my in-law's family(his married sister and married brother) does not support us since they considered my husband as a money tree. After marriage, he cannot able to do provide the money they need since we are married. My husband took me to another city to live away from his relatives. At that time itself, he passed away. After his demise, his family trying to get household things (earned by my husband itself)like a fridge, and cylinder from our house( we never lived in a joint family). They are started providing mental torture and verbal abuse. What I can do now?

You can very well file a domestic violence case as against all those who have been causing harassment. You and your children and if mother in law is alive then she are the legal heirs. Household things cannot be taken away from you. You can also file a police complaint in this regard.

mam, hope you are good you and your children are the legal heir of your husband mam and so anything earned by your husband either movable or immovable property such as land will come only to you and your in laws cannot part in it. you can give a police complaint that your inlaws are torchering you and they are comiting criminal trespass. only with further details clear suggestion can be given mam.
