verbal abuse and mental harrasement by a cousin of wife

what all sections can be filed for verbal abuse and what are the proof and evidence required ? If the accused himself accepts guilty , will the proofs , evidence required ?

verbal abuses comes under 294 of indian Penal Code. The witness is required that heard the verbal abuse but if the accuse is accepting of the fact that he had done verbal abuse and is accepting in front of the magistrate then it's confession and no evidence or witness is required he is guilty

if the accused wants to incriminate self then there is no issue. he will be punished on that basis. but if he turns out in front of the court then in that case evidence will be required. like his video ,audio ,call recording or anything which can depict verbal abuse
