Who is the nominee in that insurance policy? Only nominee can initially receive the amount and subsequently the nominee has to provide the share to the legal heirs. First get the legal heir certificate in which her husband and her children become the legal heirs because they are the 1st degree/class legal heirs. If no children, only husband is the legal heir..If husband is not alive, secondly the heirs of the husband - parents of the husband become legal heirs by succession certificate..Thirdly mother and father of the Female Hindu become the legal heirs by succession certificate..

Hello sir/mam, your father can get his share from the Pf as well. before that you kindly understand the legal heirs of your sister 1st legal heir is her son, daughter and her husband 2nd legal heir is her husband's legal heirs (which includes your sister's in-laws) 3rd legal heirs are your sister's mother and father. so your father is coming as a 3rd legal heir. since your father is a legal heir of your sister he is entitled to get his share
