Special Marriage Act Solemnization at Venue of Choice

27-Feb-2023 (In Family Law)
Hello, I wanted to know whether it is possible to call the marriage registrar at a wedding venue (not at registrar’s office) to solemnize marriage under Special Marriage Act? Or is it necessary to solemnize it at the registrar’s office?

Dear Client, you can solemnize marriage anywhere as per your choice and register it later in the office of the registrar. just to inform you that the registrar only makes registration of marriage not solemnization. please contact me for further support.

Nothing to worry about. Both the bride and groom have to fill out the details mentioned in the form along with some self-attested photocopies of the required documents. After the filing of all the above, an appointment date is provided and both the bride and groom have to be present before the concerned SDM alongwith witnesses and after a month or so you get your certificate.
