Request for Advice on Family and Living Situation

09-Jun-2024 (In Family Law)
We are Hindus and have been married for 3 years. Our 1.5-year-old baby girl has some medical conditions. Since her birth, I've been facing mental harassment from my husband's joint family. So, I have been living in my own home for the past 10 months. I asked my husband to move somewhere else and live with me, but he refuses. He insists I return to his home or he will not take care of me and our baby. I am not comfortable living in his house. What should I do?

If your husband is not taking care of you and your children, you can seek maintenance from him. You can file a maintenance petition with the jurisdictional family court, which can award a monthly allowance.

You can file maintenance OP before your jurisdictional family court against your husband to seek maintenance for you & your child. You can also file an interlocutory application for interim maintenance during the pendency of the petition. For more information contact me..!
