Physical and mental harassment by husband

Hindu family.
My mother is a house wife age of 60 and my father is retired government at personnel age of 65. My father is torturing her mentally and physically since their marriage to till date. My father is not giving her any money for her survival. My father is involve in illicit practices also. He has some affairs with other women also. Please find me a legal path so my mother can get her rightful life.
