Parents forcing me to get married

My parents are forcing me to get married to a guy who is already divorced against my will. Im 27 years old and I dont want to get married rather pursue my career and move out but they have locked me up in my house, dont let me go out alone or with my friends anywhere and have been keeping me under lot of stress and pressure

Hello, with reference to your question you are advised to handle this situation very calmly. you need to make your parents understand about what they are doing is wrong and inappropriate and against the law

Since you have legally attained your majority you are free to choose your life partner without interference from anyone including your parents. You need to talk & get them together and make them understand the importance of career rather then marrying a guy who is already divorced. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Any of your friends or relatives can go directly to the High Court in this regard and can move a Writ petition in the form of habeas corpus in order to get a favorable order from court while praying for release of the detenue. This is the fastest and most effective way to get relief without wasting time.
